Job Opportunity – 2 x Housing Support Officers (Maintenance & Repair)

To start as soon as possible. (Both Positions Now Closed)

1. Full Time, Temporary Funded Contract for 12 months – Oban, Lorne and Isles Area

2. Full Time, Temporary funded contract for 6 months – Dunoon and Cowal Area

Both positions may be extended depending on requirments and funding available.

Applicants will need to demonstrate competent joinery skills and also have good all round small repairs and general house maintenance experience including minor plumbing and electrical work. Based from home, you will support our Health And Social Care referral partners to install technology enabled care alarms and devices (telecare), minor aids and adaptations such as grab rails and banisters and carry out safety & security related minor works in elderly, disabled and vulnerable clients’ homes, e,g., door locks, Keysafes, thresholds, etc.

Trustworthy and reliable, you will require good organisational and record keeping skills and possess a current clean UK Driving Licence (work vehicle provided). Familiar with basic computer use including using email. Time served in a relevant trades discipline is preferred (preferably joinery) but not absolutely essential depending on extent, relevance and nature of previous experience. References and a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) check will be taken up for the successful applicant prior to starting.
